Dalla Prefazione dell’Autore:

The restraining devices for children are still a mysterious object ? Maybe yes, or maybe, simply , parents (and grandparents , uncles ...) need a guide to help them understand that what they are, how they work, how to choose, how they are made , as mountain and how to use them , what you can expect from them in terms of protection and why you should avoid "mistakes".
Not to mention, then, of the " legend" still widespread, the exemption "automatic" from the seat belt for pregnant women.
Satisfying this need for clarity is the first ambition of this volume, which stems from remote reflections, fueled by personal experience of many years as an orthopedic childhood , reinforced by the exchange of experience and research with scholars and experts from other countries , entering finally in voltage to the development of a "safety awareness" that animates the Italian Society of Traumatology of the Road ( SOCITRAS ) , of which I am honored to be President. But I like to think that the data and information contained in the following pages may be useful to fellow physicians , particularly pediatricians and gynecologists : it is they who have frequent and intensive contacts with parents, pregnant women and children, and may draw inspiration to provide the best advice..
